October was marked by a massive free preventative eye-checks campaign for the children. The campaign received a huge nation-wide support and the event that marked its beginning was covered by a number of bulgarian media agencies. Among the supporters of the campaign are a number of celebrities, VIP mothers and their children, the Regional Educational Council Sofia, Bulgarian Association of Private Schools and a large number of optician stores across the country.The free preventative eye-checks campaign for children is running from 1 to 31 October, 2013 in nearly 80 optician stores across the country, where a free eye-test, screening and a free eye-check, if needed, is conducted for all children up to the age of 18. Due to the vast media coverage many parents and children learned about the campaign happening and took advantage of the opportunity the free eye-chekcs that KWIAT offered together with our partners.
