The bulgarian eye-wear brand KWIAT carried out fre eye screening test on 2nd grade students at 22 School "George Rakovsky", Sofia. The test is a part of the annual Campaign for free eye screening for students aged 7-18 organised by KWIAT in partnership with the Ministry of Education, more than 100 opticians, many media companies and lots of businesses from other industries. On 30 October, the bulgarian eye-wear brand KWIAT carried out free eye screening on 2nd grade students at 22 School "George Rakovsky", Sofia , with teacher – Vania Borisova. The screening initiative was organised by Kremena Mihailova, parent of one of the children, who was inspired by the annual Campaign for free eye screening for students aged 7-18 organised by KWIAT. All students were screened by professional from the "Rodenstock" representative office in Bulgaria in the presence of the school headteacher Emilia MIhailova – honourable citizen of Sofia. Results of the eye screening carried out on 2nd grade students at 22 School "George Rakovsky":
- 23 students were screened
- 10 students should visit an ophthalmologist for detailed eye check
- 4 students are in need of immediate eye correction after they visit an ophthalmologist for detailed eye check (these 4 children were all sitting on the front rows as they cannot ee the blackboard a common sign of an eye issue that should be treated as early as possible)
